2020-2022
During the Covid lockdowns, I decided to try live streaming on twitch. I used the name retr0greg as my moniker, a pun with my name and retrograde (the phenomena of a planet appearing to move backwards in orbit), and the fact that I would be playing retro games.
The '0' is a zero, both because the version of the name with an 'o' was taken, but it also gave the name a fun balance and slashes in zeroes could make a fun motif when linked to celestial bodies.
This is a collection of the work I created as relates to design with some video editing.
Logo Design
Originally, old sci fi films inspired the first logo, often adding film grain and static to starting soon screens and putting everything in black and white except for a singular orange color.
Eventually I started learning how to make pixel art and decided to try out a new logo. The background of the pixel art was done by Norma_2D, I made edits, combined multiple scenes together, and did the animation and logo design.
Emotes
These were some of the emotes, little images subscribers can use in the live chat, that I made for my stream. I took advantage of my adorable pets to make some of them. The last 2 are subscription badges inspired by NASA patches
Editing/Motion Graphics
A couple promotional videos that I really enjoyed making and am proud of. I learned Adobe Premiere and After Effects to make these and many more videos.
