The Garden of Wonder
PS 133
2023
For this Project I worked as part of a team designing signage for PS 133's Garden of Wonder.
The Garden of Wonder is a school garden working with Brooklyn Seeds to grow and educate their students and parents on the importance of native plants in our ecosystem.
We were tasked with creating 5 posters: 1 permanent poster and 4 that would rotate with the seasons.

Project Development
I took a trip to the Garden of Wonder and took a few pictures. This helped me gain even more appreciation for the native plants on display as the garden was heavily populated with bees. In the fall, these would be the final flowers the bees would feast on before a long winter slumber.

Final
The team came together to make this beautiful layout at the end.

I drew inspiration from the iconic imagery of Art Nouveau paintings, particularly the works of Alphonse Mucha. By incorporating the natural themes and seasonal motifs prevalent in his art, I designed ornate frames that reflect his signature style.
Additionally, I utilized Art Nouveau-inspired wedding invitations as a foundation to create a layout that is both visually engaging and highly readable
